My research indicates that DIY Wash N' Fix is not an actual business. It is one of 500 sample business plans included in business plan software packages offered by the Palo Alto Software Company which is located in the United Kingdom. Read more here.

There are actual businesses (located, for the most part, in the United States) which use a similar business model. In the last few years, do-it-yourself businesses -- including auto repair, pet bathing and grooming, and make-ahead meals in bulk -- have become increasingly popular in the States.

Of course, DYI carwashes have been around forever -- adding in service bays and tools for DYI auto repair is simply a new wrinkle -- but, with so many people living in apartments which do not allow doing car repairs in their parking lots, it seems to be a logical one.

Reply to Steve -- a.k.a. Oreport's Post: I found this sample business plan included in business plan software (Bussiness Plan Pro 2003), offered by the Palo Alto Software Company. And it sounds like it would do well around here. So I am looking for finance info. to do a bussiness plan to see if it would profitable. I was told that the military bases do this for the military personal that have to stay on the bases. Any solid information that you could provide would be helpful. I will "accept" with your next reply.
