with my current employer i am constantly asked to ...

with my current employer i am constantly asked to attend meeting for one reason or another, along with the rest of my colleagues. these meetings are out of working hours, and are unpaid. sometimes we are also told to do work that was not finished on that day. have we got the right to refuse to attend these meetings. and do they have to pay us if we do??
