It depends on what type of break you are talking about. Most states have laws requiring that employees have
paid breaks -- usually something like 10 or 15 minutes for every four hours worked. The law usually requires that the breaks be taken by the employee.
Meal breaks (Usually 30 minutes) are also usually required under state law -- when an employee works over so many consecutive hours at one time. However, meal breaks are not usually required to be paid.
In all probability, your General Manager is breaking the law by changing the time sheet without your knowledge -- but you are probably also breaking the law if you are not taking required breaks.
That said, I am unable to find any Florida laws/rules covering employee breaks. This being the case, I recommend that you contact:
