I have a job that I used to like. The pay and benfits are reasonable and the location of the office is very convenient for me. I would like to continue working for the company. My last boss was fired in January. The old boss's assistant was promoted to manager of the department. The new boss is an incompetent moron. She has several screws loose. She and I are not getting along.

I would look for a new job right now; but it seems that I may have cancer and I am undergoing diagnostics. Even if don't have cancer, I do have a very serious medical condition that is going to require treatment for a while. If I leave my job, I don't know what I'll do about medical care.

What should I do? Should I go to HR and take my concerns about my boss to them? Or should I just try to continue to muddle along until my medical condition improves?
