Question

unemployment

Sent to Job Experts March 02, 2006 11:53 a.m.

I quit my job because my supervisor , without my knowledge or permission, took one of 7 keys belonging to the office off my keychain. My keychain had all my personal keys plus my office keys and was in my pocketbook. I thought this key was stolen or lost and was very upset. I actually filed a police report because my boss has been trying to get rid of me for 6 months and I thought, if this office was broken into I would be to blame. When I went to tell her about the missing key, she stopped me and admitted to taking it. I was absolutely amazed. She said she had the right. I am filing for unemployment. Do you think I have a shot at collecting?

Is anyone aware of the fact that she went into your personal belongings? Since you filed a report did you contact the police again and let them know that the key was found and how it was removed from your belongings?
