Question

employment terms

Sent to Job Experts July 14, 2004 11:21 p.m.

I was hired by a small regional telecom in February of this year with the stipulation that I must move into the telecom’s exchange area, i.e. the area it serves, before my 9 month probation period expires. I accepted these terms and was hired and subsequently discovered that two co-workers, for various reasons, are exempt from this unwritten rule and are living outside the boundries of the telecom’s exchange and are commuting to work from the same city which I commute from.   If I chose not to comply with this unwritten rule does my employer have the legal right to terminate my employment?
