I am currently working in the US on a L1A visa; my company is initiating the process of converting the L1A visa to H1 in the 2006 quota. I understand that the quota will open in Apr 2006 and since I have applied through premium route, I should get the approval by May 2006. Can I change jobs in the US once I get the H1 approval; when is it required to get the H1 stamped?
